Her large textile work Chromatic Warrior, was recently selected into the Noyes Museum’s annual

Mother Nature vs. Human Nature exhibit inJanuary of 2023. Several of her fiber art works

have been selected into national juried exhibits, some winning

awards.

…For me, art is illuminating, healing and necessary. I love creating and merging colors with form, revealing new esthetics…

Julia is an award winning juried artist and recently gave her first solo art exhibit in 2021, held at Art Alliance in Red Bank, New Jersey.  Julia's “Aquarian Dawn”  was in a special exhibit in the national show, Far and Wide in Woodstock, New York this past summer. Background: A multi-disciplinary and visionary artist, Julia’s artistic formative years were growing up in South Miami, Florida, where as a young child, she took a handful of art classes, starting with her own mother, who is also an artist and a painter.  Julia grew up in and around a multicultural environment in Miami, and has lived and worked among various  cultures from around the world.

As a young adult, Julia made a break away from visual aspect of the arts and went on to formally study music ( classical piano)  receiving her Master’s degree in Music from the University of Miami. Up to this point, her creative focus has been centered on her fiber art, though she has also expanded  into some 3-D pieces, collage and structural designs.
