How Does a “pop up” Art Event Benefit My Organization?

It all begins with an idea. Perhaps you have an historical home, or building which is looking for a more focused event to bring more members in. A farm museum? An historical mansion? A spiritual center? You may already have members, but need more publicity. Although an art gallery may be one way to show art, there are many other creative ways to hold an art event besides art galleries for a week or for a month.

Art events that have a feeling of spontaneity, casualness, activity and fun, are what bring people in. The event itself is a one time party, while the actual exhibit is on view for a limited amount of time: up for a week or even as long as a month. It all depends on your organization and situation. The pop up art event accentuates the purpose of your venue, as well as draws people in to the vibrant artwork.
